The National Secretariat of the Muslim students' Society of Nigeria has petitioned the National Security Adviser, Colonel Sambo Dasuki (rtd.), demanding an immediate probe into the murder of its former President, Prof. Ahmad Mustapha.
Prof. Mustapha was gruesomely murdered by men of the Nigerian Police Force on Sunday, 15th February 2015 in Kibiya local government area of Kano state while on his way to Bauchi state with his brother and official driver.
The trio was accused of being suspected members of the dreaded Boko Haram group.
The petition signed by the President, Mallam Sirajudeen Abdulazeez Folayemi demanded that an independent panel should be set up to investigate the cause of the murder of the late professor of Agriculture at the institute of Agricultural Research, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria in Kaduna state.
It also demanded the prosecution of all those found culpable in the murder of the varsity don.
